Organizational culture is frequently talked about in academic literature and the popular press. Yet, there are too few efforts that tell how to systematically describe an organization’s culture and even fewer contributions on how to change that organization’s culture.
The research described in this article intends to answer two sets of questions; whether the Edgar H. Schein definition of organizational culture could be operationalized for use in criminal justice agencies and could intentional efforts be utilized to manage and re-direct that organizational culture.
