The human resource department lies at the core of any business’s management structure. This is because the HR department is probably the most important department in any organization. The main reason for this department having so much weight is due to the fact that HR personnel not only hire and fire employees, but they also partake in important discussions relating to relevant matters of a company’s overall strategic business plan. The human resource department of today not only works for employee betterment, but also takes the initiative in matters such as office policies, legal documentation, development of ethical codes and standards of behavior, and so and so forth. A human resource department thus acts in both a supervisory and advisory capacity.
